Customized artworks

Our purpose:

Portraits capture more than just a face—they capture emotions, stories, and moments frozen in time. Through a portrait, we hold on to the essence of a place or the spirit of a best friend, keeping those memories alive forever.

They remind us of the warmth, the laughter, and the unique connection we shared, allowing us to revisit those feelings whenever we look at them. In a way, portraits become timeless keepsakes—beautiful bridges between the past and the present, preserving what words sometimes cannot fully express.

Each painting is a labor of love, as I strive to capture the essence and soul of the animals and places I portray. I put my heart into every piece to ensure that each one is unique and conveys the emotions and spirit of its subject. I love what I do, and I pour that love into every painting I create.

The artworks are hand-painted using soft pastel materials and the highest quality paper, all made with care.

"I don’t have the words to express what’s in my heart, flowing down my face in tears. I see Nala and her soul in every detail. You managed to capture the most beautiful and profound essence of this very special little being. Keep following your path of touching hearts through art. Thank you for beautifully portraying my princess."

Flávia, Nala's mom

Mediums used on my paintings

All my artworks are painted using the finest materials. I work exclusively with Clairefontaine Pastelmat paper. Produced in France and weighing 360 g/m², Pastelmat has a unique surface that allows pastel artists to elevate the quality of their work. It’s worth noting that it’s acid-free, which is very important to prevent the paper from aging.

I use only professional-grade soft pastel materials in my art. The pigments in these materials are formulated to be lightfast, ensuring they last over 100 years without fading, under museum conservation conditions.

If you have any questions about the mediums, I’ll be more than happy to help!

Choosing the best reference photo

Choosing the best reference photo for pet portrait commissions is essential for a perfect portrait. Below, I’ll show some examples of what to look for and the mistakes to avoid!

sharedImage2.jpg

Resolution! When you zoom in, it’s important to be able to see the details of the eyes and the direction of the fur. This is an example of a low-quality photo.
Also, be mindful of photos taken in low light...

... Or with too much light! Can you believe we’re talking about the same dog? See how the color of the fur looks completely different!

Try to avoid photos where a part of the body is missing, like the ear in this photo.

Or photos where the pet is partially hidden behind objects.
I also highly recommend  photos where they are not wearing clothes, collars, or other accessories—unless you simply can’t imagine them without it.

IMG_1565.jpg

This is an example of a perfect photo. Great contrast between light and shadow. A fur color that closely matches reality, and the best resolution we could ask for. An excellent pose as well. Remember: the more details, the more realistic the portrait will be.
